We offer functional, high-quality dog accessories and apparel in timeless, effortless styles.
Our story
The idea
When our owner, Carmille, moved to Michigan from warmer climates, she brought her two dogs to a new vet and was told the pups needed sweaters for the winter. Preferring classic styles herself, she struggled to find simple yet high-quality clothes for her animals. Carmille's interest in curating a premium doggy wardrobe continued long after they left the Midwest for Los Angeles.
the vision
Having been a hobbyist seamstress, retail floor designer, graphic designer, Fashion Week publicist, and personal stylist, Carmille applied her creative background and business experience toward her vision of creating an online dog accessories boutique with understated, carefully curated products. No longer shall humans be forced to wrap their doggies in overly cutesy outfits because there aren’t simpler options!)
The dogs
Wellesley and Berkeley are Carmille's two toy poodles and have served as models and product testers for boutique merchandise. (No animals were harmed in this process.) If the products did not pass the W&B test, they are not carried at Woof & BOOP.
The brand
Influenced by her L.A. surroundings, Carmille launched Woof & BOOP in 2023. Its aesthetic is inspired by the boutiques found along Abbott Kinney, Venice and Montana Avenue, Santa Monica in Los Angeles, California.

Our brand personality is based on the poodle: elegant and reserved at first glance, but warm and playful once you get to know it.
Our name
Woof & BOOP is named after two dog-related terms:
Woof. noun, verb. [wuf]
The sound of a dog barking.
Boop. verb. [bOOp]
A gentle, affectionate tap on the nose of a pet.
The former is a classic onomatopoeia that traces back to at least the 1800s. The latter is a fun and modern term that took off in the digital Instagram era of 2010s and later.
